Freeport
Lions member, Terry Anderson, presented Freeport High School graduate, Megan
Hayunga, a $1000.00 scholarship to attend Highland Community College. Megan
received the scholarship during the convocation activities on May 14, 2015, at
the Freeport High School Convocation Awards Ceremony, held on at Jeannette
Lloyd Theatre.
The scholarship is presented
to a graduating senior based on academic achievement, participation in
extracurricular activities, service to others, letter of recommendation, and an
essay. Megan's parents are Allen and Melissa Hayunga.
Freeport Lions Club is
an international service club and meets the second and fourth Tuesday's at the
